The Bodark Cabin has a special history as part of the Buffalo River Cabins. Ask Val to share its story.
This cabin has three bedrooms with a queen bed, full bed, and two twin beds, as well as three futons that fold out to full beds. There are two bathrooms and a full kitchen with a microwave and coffee maker. A satellite TV and DVD player is also in the cabin. The covered porch has a picnic table and chairs. All bed linens and towels are provided.
The Bodark Cabin is named after the Bodark Tree also referred to as the Osage Orange, Bois d'Arc or Hedge Apple. The kitchen bar is made from a 4 inch slab of the beautiful Bodark Tree. Here is a link to the history of the Bodark Tree and some of its uses by natives of the area - click here.
